DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF MOBILE APPLICATION – LITERATURE REVIEW
It has been discovered that many Nigerian universities use the manual method in processing their student’s results which eventually leads to a lot of errors during the process. This result is why it is not only desirable but imperative that a computerized approach should be used in measuring students’ academic progress. A lot of consequences are involved using the manual methods most especially time-consumptions and prone to errors which at the end results in late publication of examination results. Also, wrong grades are being entered for the wrong students and students’ grade point averages are computed wrongly.
Consequently, the cumulative errors being generated are ultimately linked to awarding some students poor classes of degree, while others could be unfairly victimized, bringing about frustration which might lead to the image of the whole University become tarnished.
However, designing a mobile application result checker will reduce lecturers of the stress of accumulating results and students as well will find it easier to check their results by just downloading the application via their play store or apple store to check their results.
