Research focuses on designing effective communication schemes and data management strategies for addressing the enormous amount of data generated by robot fleet in real-time. Moreover, these protocols of robot fleets are critical to make the digital twin accurate and responsive so that adjustments in interventions and robot operations can be made timely.
In addition, researchers are also developing ways to combine artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) algorithms in order to further enhance the analytics capabilities of digital twin platforms. Furthermore, AI-based analytical technologies can identify patterns, predict failures, and streamline robot fleets dispatch strategies, ultimately improving the safety and efficiency of nuclear decommissioning and maintenance activities.
